Search and Rescue Activities continue today in the search for Pearson "Chaz" Allen (Photo)

On Friday, 08/04/17 at about 5:45 p.m. The Polk County Sheriff's Office along with the City of Salem Police Department responded to Wallace Marine Park in the city of Salem on a report of a missing 5 year old boy. The boy, Pearson "Chaz" Allen was last seen near the old boat ramp. Within a short period of time emergency services responded to include the Salem Fire Department.

A search continued into the night looking for Chaz but was discontinued after dark. Chaz was last seen wearing camouflage swim trunks with a bright green strip and a bright green waste band.

On 08/05/17 the Polk County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Unit responded to the scene to continue the search. The sheriff's office was assisted by several partner agencies that are listed below. These partner agencies have helped immensely on a search that covers significant territory. The Polk County Sheriff's Office will be continuing with search operations today 08/06/17.
