Disaster responders with the local American Red Cross are providing canteen service to first responders including the Polk County Sheriff today at Wallace Marine Park in Salem, Oregon. Approximately 100 search and rescue responders are searching for a missing child.

Red cross will provide hydration and snacks for the group of 100 to support their rescue mission.

The Red Cross in Oregon and Southwest Washington (the Cascades Region) helps an average of three families affected by disasters, like home fires, every day. The Red Cross advocates emergency preparedness and offers the installation of free smoke alarms in our community.
