BEAVERTON, Ore. -- The City of Beaverton invites residents to attend a virtual open house for the city's active transportation plan, now through June 12. During an earlier virtual open house, the city asked for feedback on the public's experiences of biking, walking, and rolling around Beaverton.

The second open house provides a project status update and summary of public input received, and requests feedback on the types of bicycle and pedestrian facilities being proposed in the Beaverton Active Transportation Plan.

Completing the active transportation plan is one of the Beaverton City Council's priorities for 2017. The plan's purpose is to develop well-connected, attractive bike and pedestrian networks that are safe, convenient, and user-friendly for people of all ages and abilities.

Bicyclists are also encouraged to download the free Ride Report app at The app anonymously tracks routes and allows riders to rate the experience. The city will use this information to learn which routes are used most and how to support and encourage safe bicycling.
