Suspicious Male Approaches Middle School Girl near School Bus Stop

June 9, 2017 -- On June 9, 2017, just after 8:30am, a 14-year-old female Mountain View Middle School student was walking to the school bus stop near her home. An adult male in a vehicle pulled up next to her near the intersection of SW Crisp Drive and SW Millerglen Drive in the community of Aloha.

When the man got out of his vehicle, the girl ran back to her home. The male followed the girl to her home in his vehicle, where he waited outside for several minutes prior to leaving.

She described the male as follows:
* Hispanic male adult, approximately 30-40 years old;
* Thin build;
* Long dark brown hair with curls at the end;
* No facial hair;
She described the vehicle as being a new, burgundy-colored four-door car (unknown make or model). It did not have license plates.

Deputies checked the area and did not locate the vehicle. The Washington County Sheriff's Office reminds students to be vigilant while traveling to and from school and to report all suspicious activities to non-emergency dispatch at 503-629-0111 or to 911.

The mother of the student is willing to speak to members of the media.
