Suspect Arrested After Traffic Pursuit in East Precinct Early Sunday Morning (Photo)

On Sunday June 11, 2017, at 3:13 a.m., East Precinct officers attempted to stop a driver in a black 2001 Buick Century in the area of Southeast 82nd Avenue and Southeast Harrison Street but the driver began to elude the police.

The driver led police on a short chase in the neighborhood. During the pursuit the driver collided with a fence at a dead-end located on Southeast 83rd Avenue south of Southeast Harrison Street. After the driver crashed his car into the fence he drove his car in reverse. His vehicle collided into a police vehicle which had stopped behind the suspect. After crashing into the police car the suspect fled on foot but was taken into custody a short distance from his vehicle. Neither the officer nor the suspect were injured as a result of the crash.

28-year-old Erik Rowdy Feltner was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Attempt to Elude by Vehicle, Attempt to Elude on Foot, Fail to Perform the Duties of a Driver. Additionally, Feltner was lodged on a parole violation.
