SHOOTING INVESTIGATION OVERNIGHT IN NORTHEAST PORTLAND'S CULLY NEIGHBORHOOD - ONE PERSON INJURED

On Thursday June 29, 2017, at 11:29 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of gunfire in the area of Northeast 60th Avenue and Simpson Street.

Officers arrived in the area and found a male adult down in the street on Simpson and determined he'd been the victim of a shooting. Medical personnel arrived and transported the man by ambulance to a Portland hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

Officers spoke to people in the neighborhood who described hearing a disturbance and gunfire. No suspect information was developed at the scene.
