SHOOTING INVESTIGATION OVERNIGHT IN PARKROSE HEIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD - NO INJURIES

On Thursday June 15, 2017, at 5:15 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of gunfire damage to a home in the 2800 block of Northeast 117th Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and located evidence of gunfire, including damage to a residence. There were no injuries or suspect information.

There was a call of gunshot heard in the area of Knott City Park a few blocks away at approximately 2:30 a.m. but nothing was located at the time.

Based on information learned at the scene, the Gang Enforcement Team responded to continue the investigation.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 503-823-4106, reference case number 17-187488.

Anyone with information about this case or other gun crimes in the City of Portland is encouraged to provide information to the Portland Police Bureau's Tactical Operations Division at 503-823-4106 or email information to gangs@portlandoregon.gov.

Information learned from social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter or YouTube should be shared with investigators as these tips may lead to the identification of a suspect or suspects.
