SALEM MAN ARRESTED AFTER FIRING SHOTS INTO RESIDENCE (PHOTO)

Today around 9:30 a.m., deputies with the Marion County Sheriff's Office were called to the 4900 block of Buffalo Drive SE after a resident returned home and found their window broken out. After deputies arrived they determined the window had been shattered by two separate shotgun blasts sometime late last night.

While investigating the incident deputies identified the suspect in the shooting as the victim's ex-boyfriend Frank Dawson, age 49, of Salem. Mr. Dawson an employee of the Oregon Youth Authority was stopped near the victim's residence in his vehicle and taken into custody without incident. Mr. Dawson is at the Marion County Jail for the crimes of Menacing , Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Criminal Mischief II. Mr. Dawson is schedule to appear in court tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. at the Circuit Court Annex.
