Vancouver, Wash. -- Clark County Geographic Information Systems recently rolled out a new Web page for map research called Quick Maps. It is the first phase of the department's long-term goal to allow anyone to research and download mapping data and standard maps for free.

Quick Maps can be found at

Quick Maps provides the ability to view and download PDF versions of standard maps produced and maintained by Geographic Information Systems. Dynamic search allows users to quickly locate a map for a specific category or area. Examples of categories include school districts, transportation, electoral and permitting information.

Each map has a brief description, thumbnail preview and link to open the map in the county's MapsOnline website.

With a user-friendly interface and simple design, Quick Maps enables anyone to easily search, view and download any of GIS's standard maps.

Printing and custom map production services still are available. Prices vary. To get a quote, email the GIS Map Store at

New maps continually will be added to Quick Maps as feedback is received from users. Suggestions and requests for maps can be submitted to the GIS Map Store at
