PORTLAND, Ore. (June 13, 2017) -- NASA's Driven to Explore (DTE) mobile exhibit will be at The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) on June 20. The DTE exhibit allows guests to discover the challenges of human space exploration and how NASA provides critical technological advances to improve life on Earth. The DTE mobile exhibit is a free event and will be located on OMSI's front plaza from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

At 2 p.m., astronaut Don Pettit, PhD., a veteran of three spaceflights, will discuss life and science aboard the International Space Station during a free public lecture in the OMSI auditorium. Dr. Pettit's presentation is free, but space is limited and reservations are required. The presentation is expected to fill quickly, and there will be a wait list at the door on the day of the event if space allows.

Visit OMSI online to reserve seats for Dr. Pettit's presentation: www.omsi.edu

Media interested in attending the event should contact John Farmer, jfarmer@omsi.edu or 503.797.4517
