This morning around 10:30 a.m., deputies with the Marion County Sheriff's Office were called to the 19000 block of Highway 99 E just north of Hubbard after a male allegedly shot at his brother. The victim who was not injured was able to escape the property and called 911. Deputies surrounded the location and evacuated local residents near the rural property.

At 12:15 p.m., while waiting for the Marion County SWAT Team to arrive the male, Michael Jon Perryman, age 41 came out of the house and surrendered to deputies. Mr. Perryman has been taken to the Marion County Jail for the crimes of Menacing x 2 and the Unlawful Use of a Weapon. In addition to criminal charges Mr. Perryman will also be evaluated by our mental health professionals at the Marion County Jail.

The Sheriff's Office would like to thank our partners with the Woodburn Police Department, Hubbard Police Department, Oregon State Police, Salem Police Department, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and all of our 911 dispatchers'.
