Cowlitz County: Earlier today at about 8:00 a.m. Cowlitz Sheriff Deputies were called to the 100 block of Lone Oak Road due to the report of suspicious person at a vacant lot. They contacted Paul I Harris who gave a false name to the deputies who were investigating the incident. As the deputies attempted to arrest Mr. Harris for providing a false name he sped away and almost ran in to a Deputy Sheriff who was standing nearby. The deputy was not injured.

Harris is 26 years old, 6' 1", 185 lbs with short brown hair. The picture attached to this release is an accurate depiction of how Harris looked today. He is a transient who frequents the Longview area.

Harris has a history of violence and should not be approached. There is a felony warrant for Harris issued by the department of corrections that is active. He is also wanted for Making False Statements, Felony Eluding, Resisting Arrest .
