Westside Economic Alliance Hosts Housing Summit in Beaverton

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- The Westside Economic Alliance will hold a summit on "The Economics of Housing" on Friday, June 2, at The Beaverton Building, 12725 SW Millikan Way. The event is cosponsored by WEA, City of Beaverton, and Washington County.

"The city is honored to partner with WEA to cohost this event," said Mayor Denny Doyle. "The topic could not be more timely right now, as we all need to do our part to address housing challenges in our cities."

The summit will kick off at noon with networking and lunch. U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley and economist Jerry Johnson will speak. Members will attend breakout sessions on the cost of housing, housing and employment, and the social aspects of housing.
