Vancouver Police investigate vehicular assault (Update: Arrests)

On May 27, 2017, Vancouver Police were notified that the victim in this incident did not survive his injuries.

Vancouver Police interviewed and subsequently arrested two juvenile males. Both were arrested for Robbery I and Attempted Murder I and were booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center. With the death of the victim this morning, the Attempted Murder I charges will be amended to Murder I.

The investigation is still ongoing and nothing further is anticipated for release this weekend.


Vancouver, Wash. -- On May 26, 2017, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to a reported hit and run in the Safeway parking lot located at 13875 SE Mill Plain Blvd. Initial information from witnesses indicate that at least two juvenile males met in the parking lot and shortly thereafter an altercation occurred between them. One of the males associated with the altercation reportedly hit the victim with a vehicle and the victim was reportedly dragged in the parking lot, causing significant injuries. The suspect(s) fled in a vehicle which was later located by police. The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are currently interviewing the suspect(s) and multiple witnesses. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
