On Wednesday May 3, 2017, Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire & Rescue Arson Investigators arrested the person suspected of placing burning road flares inside a Downtown Portland Target store and a Portland Police car during the riot on Monday May 1, 2017.

22-year-old Damion Zachary Feller was arrested at Southwest Park Avenue and Stark Street and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Arson in the First Degree, Arson in the Second Degree, and Riot. Additional charges may be added after additional investigation and the case is reviewed by the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office.

Feller will be arraigned on Thursday.

Feller was identified after investigators reviewed video of the events as well as through community tips. Probable cause was established to arrest Feller for the crimes and investigators seized evidence linking him to the crimes.

The Portland Police Bureau will continue to investigate criminal acts committed during the riot and is asking the public to share information about criminal suspects with police. Tips can be emailed to CrimeTips@portlandoregon.gov

Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers cash rewards for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in any unsolved felony crime and tipsters can remain anonymous.

Information about any other unsolved felony crime is eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500.

Information learned from social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter or YouTube should be shared as these tips may lead to the identification of a suspect or suspects. Links can be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
