May, 4, 2017 - During the month of April, Washington County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 59 impaired drivers. Of those DUII arrests, 15 were made by deputies working grant funded overtime provided by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The Sheriff's Office encourages people prior to consuming alcoholic beverages or recreational marijuana to make sure to have a designated sober driver or arrange for an alternate form of transportation.

Impaired drivers are involved in a significant number of injury and fatal traffic crashes each year.

The Sheriff's Office reminds you to drive sober or get pulled over.
