At 3:50am PF&R crews were dispatched to a residential fire at 2910 NE Rocky Butte where they found a house with heavy fire, smoke and difficult circumstances including a significant slope making firefighting options limited. Despite these difficulties, crews were able to contain the fire quickly and prevent spread to neighboring homes. The two occupants that were home when the fire broke out made it out safely. One pet cat is reported missing at this time. Investigators are at the scene trying to determine a cause and damage assessment. Updates will be provided when more information is available.
