PEDESTRIAN CRITICALLY INJURED IN CRASH IN NORTH PORTLAND - TRAFFIC DIVISION INVESTIGATING

On Friday may 26, 2017, at 11:13 a.m., North Precinct and Traffic Division officers responded to the report of a pedestrian struck by a driver on North Interstate Avenue near Larrabee Avenue.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located an adult male suffering from traumatic injuries. He has been transported to a Portland hospital for treatment to life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The Traffic Division is conducting an investigation into the crash. The southbound Interstate Avenue approach to the Broadway Bridge is closed due to the investigation and should reopen within a few hours.
