News Release from Yamhill Co. Sheriff's Office
Posted on FlashAlert: May 30th, 2017 7:03 PM
Missing 25 year old Sheridan resident Bryan Disabatino was located and recovered in the Yamhill River at about 12:30 pm today. Disabatino fell from a bridge in Sheridan which spanned the Yamhill River in the early morning hours of April 29th.

Previous rescue and recovery efforts had been hampered by high, swift murky waters which have now dropped significantly since the initial incident. Yamhill County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue, with assistance from several agencies had conducted searches from land, boat, helicopter and drone. Divers from the Clackamas County Dive Team and the Oregon State Police also assisted in the search.

Today, at about 12:30 pm a group of private citizen kayakers performed a search of the river and eventually located Disabatino in the river approximately 5.15 river miles from where Disabatino was last seen.

Sheriff Tim Svenson praised the work of all emergency response teams and the large contingency of private citizens who worked tirelessly to help provide closure to the family. "My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Bryan as they begin the healing process", said Sheriff Svenson.
