On Thursday May 4, 2017, at 4:15 p.m., North Precinct and Traffic Division officers, as well as Multnomah County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the report of a head-on crash on Northwest Skyline Boulevard and Ash Street.

Officers, firefighters, and medical personnel arrived locating the crash and three injured parties. One person was transported by LifeFlight and two others were transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital with traumatic injuries.

The Traffic Division's Major Crash Team responded to conduct an investigation. Preliminary information indicates that a passenger car occupied by three people being driven northbound on Skyline, crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a large delivery truck being driven southbound on Skyline, occupied by two people.

All three people in the passenger car were injured in the crash - both people in the truck were not injured.

Traffic remains closed on Skyline until tows and clean-up can be complete. No additional updates are expected this evening.
