Clackamas County Sheriff's Office dive team members recovered the body of a man on Friday, April 28th in the Clackamas River near McIver Park. A caller reported seeing a body floating about 100 yards from the north boat ramp.

On Monday, May 1st, the Clackamas County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the body was Brandon Powell, missing since March 12th from his home in Estacada. This press release was delayed to allow for notification of the family of the deceased, which was completed the morning of May 2nd. The medical examiner's office has not determined a specific cause of death, but there are no signs of foul play.
