40-YEAR-OLD MAN INJURED IN OVERNIGHT SHOOTING IN SOUTHEAST PORTLAND

On Thursday May 18, 2017, at 11:38 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a disturbance and shooting in eh 2100 block of Southeast 174th Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and learned that a gunshot victim was calling from in front of Portland Fire & Rescue Station 31, located a few blocks north of the shooting location.

Paramedics and firefighters began treating the victim, a 40-year-old male, who was then transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive.

Officers learned that there was disturbance involving several people outside the initial location and that several shots were fired by an unknown person, resulting in the victim's injuries.

There is no suspect information and detectives would like to hear with anyone with information.
