Teen critically injured in hit and run crash

GRESHAM, Ore.-- On April 28, around 10:45 p.m., police and medical personnel responded the 19900 block of SE Stark St. where a teenager was hit by a car. Investigators believe the teen was crossing south bound in a marked and lighted crosswalk when she was hit by an unidentified vehicle. The driver failed to stop and render aid.
The 16-year-old female was transported to the trauma unit of an area hospital with serious injuries but is expected to live.
Police are seeking to identify the car and driver involved in this crash as well as talk to any witnesses. Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to call the Gresham police tip line at 503-618-2719.
