At about 1:40 a.m., the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office and Sheridan Fire units were dispatched to a report of a man in the Yamhill River. The initial call indicated that a male had jumped or fallen from the bridge located near the intersection of S. Bridge Street and Main Street. He was last seen floating down river.

The male was identified as Sheridan resident Brian Disabatino, 25 years of age.

Law enforcement and fire personnel attempted to locate Mr. Disabatino in the dark using thermal imaging and night vision but were unsuccessful. Preparations were then made to activate Search and Rescue.

This morning Yamhill County Search and Rescue, with assistance from the Sheridan Fire Department and Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue began a search from the banks, river and air. At the time of this media release Mr. Disabatino has not been located.

Initial investigation appears to show that the incident was accidental and that alcohol could have been a factor. The Yamhill County Sheriff's Office will continue the search with the hopes of finding the victim soon.

If you have any information on this case please contact Sgt. Todd Whitlow of the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office at
