92-year-old Sam Mai was found safe and sound this evening and is no longer missing.

The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help to locate a 92-year-old woman missing since the afternoon hours of Friday February 17, 2017.

Sam was last seen today at approximately 3:00 p.m. when she left her temple at Southeast 118th Avenue and Division Street.

Sam is described as 4'00" tall, 110 pounds, very short black and gray hair, and brown eyes. Sam was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket, black and white pinstriped pants, and black shoes.

Sam suffers from dementia and it is unlikely she will know how to get home or how to contact family. Sam speaks Vietnamese and knows very little English.

Anyone seeing Sam is asked to call 9-1-1 so that police may check her welfare. Anyone with non-emergency information is asked to contact Detective Heidi Helwig at 503-823-0797, heidi.helwig@portlandoregon.gov.
