At approximately 1351 this afternoon units were dispatched to the intersection of 242nd Ave and Hoffmeister Rd to a reported heavy impact crash with a possible trapped victim. Two engines, a truck, a heavy rescue and a command unit from CFD#1 responded to the scene. A dump truck and a full size van were involved in a T-bone crash, with one male victim pinned in the van. Crews quickly freed the victim, and he was transported to a trauma hospital by ground ambulance. His condition is unknown at this time. A large diesel spill occurred, and measures were taken to protect a nearby waterway. A hazmat unit from CFD#1 was dispatched to handle the spill. Traffic was also a problem for responders.
