UPDATE - Vehicle flees police and crashes

Officers have taken all three suspects in this incident into custody. Rasool Islam, a 21-year-old male, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Burglary I, 2 counts of Trespass I, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Escape III and Criminal Mischief II. Adonis Thompson, a 22-year-old male, was booked on charges of Trespass II and Charles Lewis-Davis, a 27-year-old male, was booked on a Parole Violation . There are no outstanding suspects from this incident.



Today, December 31, 2015 at 7:41 p.m., Officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of S.E. Main St. and S.E. 148th Av. The vehicle, a dark colored jeep, fled from police. The vehicle crashed shortly after thereafter, near S.E. 158th Av. and Main St.

Several male black suspects fled the vehicle. Two of the suspects were described as being thin and one was stocky. The vehicle caught fire and Portland Fire Units were requested. At the same time, officer began establishing a perimeter to locate the suspects. A K9 unit has responded and officers are checking the area for the suspects.

Traffic is being impacted from S.E. 158th Av to S.E. 162nd Av between S.E. Mill St and S.E. Main St. The investigation is ongoing.
