RED CROSS RESPONDS TO LONGVIEW HOME FIRE

Red Cross disaster action team volunteers this morning responded to single-family fire that occurred in the 300 block of 20th Avenue in Longview, WA. This fire affected one adult and three children. Red Cross provided assistance to address immediate basic needs, assistance for temporary lodging, and information about recovery services.

The Red Cross advocates emergency preparedness and offers the installation of free smoke alarms in communities across Oregon and southwest Washington. Residents may call (503) 528-5783 or complete an online form at www.redcross.org/cascadeshfpc to schedule an appointment.
