On Saturday December 26, 2015, at 2:37 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a hit and run crash at Southeast 110th Avenue and Cherry Blossom Drive.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim vehicle, and a passenger who was injured from an assault. The victim is a female in her 20s and she has been transported to a Portland hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers spoke with witnesses who told police that it appeared that two different drivers chased the victim vehicle, intentionally created a crash, then the drivers assaulted both the driver and passenger of the car. The suspects then left the area in their vehicles, described as a Chevrolet sedan and a Ford sedan.

Officers learned that the incident may be related to a disturbance that happened late Friday evening in another area of Southeast Portland and it may all be gang-related.

Gang Enforcement Team (GET) officers are responding to investigate.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Police Non-Emergency Line at 503-823-3333.
