American Red Cross - Cascades Region

American Red Cross - Cascades Region: Responders are assisting 38 people after a multi-family apartment fire in the 4000 block La Palms Lane NE affected 24 adults, 14 children and numerous pets. Twelve apartment units were affected. Red Cross provided assistance for temporary lodging, assistance for immediate basic needs, disaster mental health services, disaster health services, and recovery information. The Red Cross advocates emergency preparedness and offers the installation of free smoke alarms in communities across Oregon and southwest Washington.
